Who We Are

I Crit You Not Podcast was the brainchild of Raven Rollins, and it has flourished into something spectacular with the help of her husband, Rick Rollins. As podcasters, as well as musicians, authors, publishers, editors, artists, and, well, the list goes on and on with creativity, Raven and Rick wanted to bring the spotlight to one of their favorite pastimes, Tabletop RPG.

With Raven's main job being a true crime podcaster where she advocates for victims, and Rick being a full-time paramedic, they see a lot of tragedy daily. They have been escaping from reality with each other in Tabletop RPG for over a decade now and wanted to share their love for it with others.

"We see the worst every day. It's not that we don't see the hope that's there as well, but we definitely needed a way to completely escape our real life and pretend to be some fantastic Hero who never loses in a faraway land," Raven explains.

Rick has been playing RPGs since he was very small where he started with his Dad telling grand stories of heroic endeavors. He became a huge fan, and eventually learned to GM (be a Game Master) himself. He has been GMing for his gaming group, which includes his wife, Raven, for decades. He and Simon Vaughn, as well as Bill Shackleford, also go way back. Bill is Rick's cousin and best friend. Simon and Rick have known each other since their middle-school days and have always been great friends. Rick and Simon are now EMS partners as well. Simon, Bill, and Raven will be regulars on the show with each new season, even if some other players may change.

"We wanted a place to show people that it's totally okay to immerse yourself in this 'nerdy' world. Rick also wanted to bring light to Tabletops other than D&D. Stranger Things and the new D&D movie really made that hot again, but there's so much more than just D&D. We want to show people how easy some of these games are to run and play."

I CRIT YOU NOT will feature games like Kids on Bikes, Fallout RPG, Feng Shui, Bunkers & Badasses, and so much more. They will also have intermittent bonus episodes, bringing over Raven's Reviews from The Sirens Podcast, where they will discuss other games from cards to video games.

Rick Rollins

Game Master, Sirens Cohost, Critical Care Paramedic, Long Time gamer

Rick has been gaming since he was a small child when his dad say him and his siblings town to GM his first tabletop game.

Immediately loving it, he has learned everything he can from his dad about being the best storyteller he can possibly be. Having played for ran just about every RPG under the sun, he makes the perfect GM for I Crit You Not. Rick will be the main host of the show, taking on explaining rules, to telling the story, to helping players in character creation, as well as helping listeners learn about RPGs they might not already know about while making it easy for a new group to run it at home.

Rick has been a Nationally Registered Tactical & Critical Care Paramedic in Tulsa, OK since 2016. He currently resides in Tulsa, OK with his wife Raven, his son Rex, and his dog Elvis.

Raven Rollins

Host of The Sirens Podcast, author, audiobook narrator, Long Time gamer

Raven Rollins started The Sirens Podcast in 2019 as Intuition Investigations: True Crime and then later changed the branding to Sirens: A True Crime Podcast. After being a podcaster for almost 3 years, she felt she wanted to branch out to a new genre and try a RPG podcast. Raven takes on the roles of Executive Producer, PR manager, Social Media Management, website management, show editor, and so much more.

Raven has worked in several fields in the past 2 decades, including: Legal assistant/researcher, surgical assistant, Dog Groomer, Dog Trainer, and is currently a Private Investigator.

She has been married to Rick Rollins for over a decade and has one child with him, Rex Rollins, and one dog, a Shih-tzu named Elvis. Find her first on our D&D series.

Simon Vaughn

EMT, Long Time Gamer

Rick and Simon go way back - to middle school, in fact. They have have been friends forever and gaming with each other just as long.

Simon went to East Central University and came away with a Bachelor's in Fine Arts. He and Simone have been married for over a decade and he recently graduated his Emergency Medical Technology class at the top of his class, obtaining the Valedictorian title. He is currently Rick's EMT partner. You can also find him moonllighting as a cohost on The Sirens Podcast. He even has his own segment called Cryptids Unscripted with Simon Vaughn.

Jean Gray

Jean was one of the first friends Rick made when he took his current job back in 2016. In the same academy, they have worked alongside each other seamlessly for almost a decade. Jean is currently a paramedic. She is a big fan of dinosaurs, console gaming, and being an independent woman who don't need no man.

A big fan of penguins and anime, Simone was a phlebotomist in the Tulsa area for several years. They hail from Ada, Oklahoma and worked at the same high volume EMS facility as their husband, Simon. Find them on our D&D series.

Bill Shackleford

Bill has been a guest on Raven's show, The Sirens Podcast, and now he's here with us on this one! As Rick's cousin, you can really tell he is family when he plays with us. Bill also contributes to the production of this podcast by helping in editing and creative direction through his company, Spaghetti Sandwich Productions. Bill is an everyman, and we really think you'll be rooting for him on the show.

Rick and Jay's paths first crossed in college, diverged, and then converged again 20 years later—destiny clearly had plans.
